Columbus East High School’s Cory Dixon and Steve Brown and Seymour’s Eric Werskey were named to the First Team All-State for football.
1990
When members of Columbus North High School Booster Club and Student Assembly found out that Sans Souci had no coats to give to needy area children, the two organizations joined forces to collect 500 winter coats at basketball games. Benzol Cleaning Co. and National Linen donated cleaning services for the coats.

More than half of the federal War on Poverty funds spent in Indiana in the first half of the year went into the Job Corps Center at Camp Atterbury.
