Crusaders rally past Martinsville Tabernacle

Playing its fourth game in five days, Columbus Christian rallied from a two-point halftime deficit to pick up a 61-49 boys basketball victory against Martinsville Tabernacle.

Jarrett Noble had three steals that he turned into two layups and an assist in the fourth quarter that helped the Crusaders break open a close game.

“I told them at halftime, we had more talent, but we just didn’t want them to hang around,” Columbus Christian coach Kevin Roth said. “I said ‘You have to get active defensively,’ and we got some steals and some easy buckets. Our defense kind of buckled down there in the fourth quarter.”

Lain Isley led the Crusaders (8-2) with 18 points. Adriane Polley added 17.
