Zora Embs Corya, 81, of Commiskey, died at 8:33 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
Survivors include a son, Darrell (Rita) Corya of Indianapolis; daughter, Debbie McGuire of Camby; brother, Everet (Jeanie) Embs of Pendleton, Kentucky; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Steve Corya; brothers, Chester, Cecil, Veryl and Shelby Embs; sisters, Bessie Embs, Beulah Pollard, Augusta Besser and Ivory Monhollen.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, with the Rev. Jerry Begley officiating. Family and friends may call from 2 until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday. Burial will be in the Tea Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Jennings County.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Tea Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
