Lori Ann Davis-­Branum, 48, of Westport, a.k.a. “Miss Lori” and “Mimi,” went on to sandier beaches at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

She was born in Orlando, Florida, Oct. 6, 1967, the daughter of James R. and Margaret Avant Davis. Florida spirit ran naturally through her blood.

She married David W. Branum Sept. 23, 1995, at First Christian Church in Columbus.

Lori was the mother of three, Brandon Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Samantha Branum of Columbus and Shelby Branum of Westport. Also surviving are her father and step­mother, James R. and Suzanne Davis of Columbus; her mother, Margaret Mobley of Columbus; a sister, Amanda (David) Mattick of Fishers, Indiana; and a brother, James Davis of Columbus.

Throughout her life, Lori devoted her time to serving and bettering the lives of others through compassion, wisdom and a little bit of Mimi flare. As a Call Center Director at Defenders she put on many hats and worked hard to bring out the best in people.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street in Columbus, with David Burnett officiating. Calling will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
