Dorothy Lynn Whitmore, age 20, of Greensburg, passed away on Monday evening, February 29th, 2016, in Greensburg.
Dorothy was born on January 6, 1996, in Jamestown, New York, to Lisa Rene Whitmore. Her mother, Lisa and fiancé, Dean Fleener, reside in Franklin.
Dorothy is also survived by brothers, Tysen Whitmore of Oklahoma, Garrett Whitmore and Lyman Whitmore, both of New York; sister, Olivia Bowden of Franklin; grandparents, Vic Whitmore and Marsha Whitmore, both of Oklahoma and Ron Austin of New York; many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. Also surviving is Dorothy’s fiancé, Justin Perry.
She was a 2014 graduate of Columbus East High School.
Dorothy worked at Maurice’s in Batesville. She loved modeling for Maurice’s and loved fashion. She was an avid runner. Her greatest joy was giving to others and watching her nephews grow, Brody Whitmore, Nicholai Whitmore and Lucian Whitmore.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5th, at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
