Rebecca White

Florida

Rebecca “Becky” White, 66, a native and longtime resident of the Columbus, Indiana, area passed away unexpectedly September 6, 2015, in Florida.

Becky made many mission trips to Haiti and became so loved by the people they named a village “Whitewood” in her honor. She loved to sing, recorded several uplifting CDs and enjoyed performing at many concerts and revivals. She co-authored two books, “10,000 Miles of Miracles” and “Preparing for the Rain on Iwo Jima Isle.”

Becky was preceded in death by her father, James E. Hudson, in 1987; and her niece, Faith Ann Houston, in 1989. Her mother, Jacquelyn K. Hudson, recently passed away on January 30, 2016.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years, Dennis White of Pace, Florida; their sons, Eric and Benjamin of Indianapolis, Indiana; five beloved grandchildren; her brother, Mike Hudson; and two sisters, Dianna (Houston) Schutté and Amy Summer.

Becky selflessly supported and assisted her husband’s ministry and the many churches he pastored. A delightful and endearing soul, she touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service was held September 9, 2015, at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.

Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Florida, was entrusted with arrangements.
