Linda S. Zakarian, 55, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 1 a.m., June 1, 2016, at her home.
Linda was an active member of the Community Church of Columbus. She adored her grandchildren and had a very generous, giving nature. Linda loved animals. She “never met a stranger” and had a warm, welcoming and caring personality.
Ms. Zakarian was born in Overland Park, Kansas, Aug. 13, 1960, to the late Edward and Virginia Adams Zakarian.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffery Lawrence of Franklin, Indiana; daughter, Lauren (Matthew) Schurman of Mt. Prospect, Illinois; grandchildren, Joshua, Isabelle and Benjamin Schurman; brothersÍž Michael Zakarian of Overland Park, Kansas, John (Paula) Boghossian of San Carlos, California, Martin Zakarian and Fredrick Zakarian; nephew, Jonathan Zakarian, all of Overland Park, Kansas; and stepmother, Janet Zakarian of Glendale, California.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Scott Hundley officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Johnson County Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas.
