Arthur W. Ledwinka, 88, of Columbus, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Four Seasons Retirement Center.
Arthur worked as a lineman for Indiana Bell for 33 years and was a member of Columbus Indiana Bible Students where he served as an elder. He enjoyed gardening and was a good repairman.
Born on February 5, 1928, in Hammond, Indiana, Arthur was the son of Wallace and Helen Yablonowski Ledwinka. He married Esther Niemyski on June 10, 1950, and she survives.
Other survivors include children, Barbara (Ron) Chastain of Phoenix, Arizona, Debbie (Larry) McClellan of Clearwater, Florida, Teri (Bob) Brand of San Diego, California, and Dan (Alice) Ledwinka of Columbus; grandchildren, Beth George, Sarah Gentry, Ron McClellan, Matthew McClellan, Amy Holt, Lisa Thatcher, Joe Ledwinka and Shawn Ledwinka; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Walter, Carol, and Bob.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Beverly and Vivian.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Arrangements were handled by Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
