Rachel Gay, 88, of Union Street, died at 3:36 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.
Rachel was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Jackson, Kentucky, the daughter of Boyd and Dicie Herald.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling will be from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Clark C. Gay, David R. Gay, Geraldine Lee and Carl W. Gay; and her granddaughter, Trina S. Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Herald, Timmeth Herald, Dewey Herald, Tom Herald and Ellitt Herald; sisters, Martha Rice and Dulcena Brown; and a grandchild, Teddi R. Lee.
