Road design workshops planned

The city engineering department and Columbus Regional Health’s Healthy Communities program will host two workshops this week regarding improvements planned for city corridors.

  • A second Taylor Road design workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Richards Elementary School cafeteria, 3311 Fairlawn Drive.
  • A second Westenedge Drive design workship will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Parkside Elementary School Harrison Room, 1400 Parkside Drive.

Mark Fenton, a nationally-recognized transportation and public health expert, will facilitate both workshops.

The events will build on the ideas and suggestions residents provided at previous workshops in April, when residents were asked for feedback on ways to improve both roads. All residents, even those who did not participate in the initial workshops, are encouraged to attend Fenton’s presentations.
