Gwendolyn R. “Gwen” Hess, 93, of North Vernon, died at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Jennings Healthcare in North Vernon.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Lou Thompson of Fort Wayne, Virginia Ruth Simmons, Mary Louise Hess and Leona Mae Hess, all of North Vernon; two sisters, Edith Willadean Harte and Leatrice Ann “Jackie” Ihrie, both of Van Buren; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Everett Hess, and a daughter, Sandra Sue Mason.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with calling from noon until service time.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the family for expenses.
