Seymour
Wanda S. Hayden, 77, of Seymour, formerly of Columbus, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Seymour.
Mrs. Hayden was born May 22, 1939, in Bartholomew County, to Melvin and Beatrice McDaniel Spears.
She retired from the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation after many years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Norman E. Hayden of Seymour; children, Julia (Michael) Hocking of Seymour, Candie (Larry) Atkins of Seymour and Tony (Lisa) Hayden of Columbus; grandchildren, Pam (Danny) Pressley, Brian Atkins, Ben Weaver, Brad Taylor, Breann (Trent) Lawson, Natalie (Travis) Johnson, Aaron Elifritz, Jeremy Gibson and Jennie Gibson; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale (Jan) Spears of Columbus; and sisters, Kathy Schooler of Columbus and Karen (Jack) Mullis of Columbus.
Mrs. Hayden was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Rebecca Hayden and Melanie “Mickey” Henderson; three sisters; and a brother.
In keeping with Mrs. Hayden’s wishes, cremation is planned.
There will be no services.
