Local ‘Black Lives Matter’ meeting set for tonight

The first public meeting of a forming Columbus chapter of Black Lives Matter will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbus, 7850 W. Goeller Blvd.

Organizer Brittany King said the purpose of the gathering will be to allow people to hear the objectives of the group, understand its goals and its call to action locally and nationally.
She also hopes to facilitate an open discussion on the current state of race relations in the nation.
