Three students from Total Taekwondo in Columbus came away with top-four finishes in the AAU Taekwondo Nationals earlier this month in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Montse Valencia finished second in Olympic Sparring and third in Forms in the 6-7-year-old intermediate girls division.
Heather Rodriguez placed third in both Olympic Sparring and Forms in the 12-14 intermediate girls division.
Aldaberto (Junior) Rodriguez finished fourth in Forms in the 12-14 intermediate boys division.
AAU Taekwondo Nationals features the best taekwondo competitors in the country. Each entrant must place high enough in a state qualifier to make the national competition.
