Stephanie Diane Witkemper Sester, 40, of Gilbert, Arizona, died unexpectedly Friday, July ­8, 20­16. Born in Columbus Oct. ­9, 19­75, Stephanie was the daughter of Richard and Ellen Kramer Witkemper. She married Michael Ryan Sester on March ­12, 20­10, at the Bali Hai Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he survives.

After attending All Saints Catholic School she graduated in 1994 from Columbus East High School, graduated in 1998 from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer and attained her master’s degree from Northern Arizona State in Flagstaff. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and the counselor for Canyon Valley School in Gilbert. In 1994 Stephanie was named the Student Athlete of the year by The Republic.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Michael Ryan Sester, Gilbert, Arizona; her parents, Richard and Ellen Kramer Witkemper, Columbus; step-daughters, Rhiannon Viersen and Madison Sester, Gilbert, Arizona; brother, Chad (Jennifer) Witkemper; and nephews, Nathan, Brody and Emmett Witkemper, all of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeremy Witkemper; grandparents, Leonard and Agnes Kramer, Earl Witkemper, Peggy and Don Bess; and a nephew, Owen Witkemper.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Clem Davis and Deacon Bill Jones at 11 a.m. Aug. 6, 2016, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

In keeping with Stephanie’s wishes, cremation was in Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jeremy Witkemper Memorial Fund, Myers-­Reed Chapel, 25th St., Columbus.
