The Indiana Department of Transportation will reopen State Road 46 at its Fishers Fork Creek bridge Wednesday afternoon — weather permitting — 2½ weeks ahead of the contract completion date for removing and replacing the 3-span structure. The location of the State Road 46 bridge is two miles west of State Road 9 southeast of Columbus.
Milestone is INDOT’s contractor for the $1,398,358 design-build project which called for a five-month closure.
