Edinburgh
Gerald T. Burton, 71 of Edinburgh, passed away August 2, 2016, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, Indiana. He was born April 17, 1945 in Adair County, Kentucky.
He was the son of Malcom and Velma (Cowan) Burton.
He is survived by brothers, Darrell L. ( Norma) Burton of Edinburgh and Malcom “Shorty” (Vicki) Burton of Edinburgh; sisters, Linda K. (Ronnie) Estes of Edinburgh and Jeanette (Wallace) Adams of Trafalgar; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending church, singing and fishing. He also enjoyed going to Applebee’s for his birthday.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church by the Rev. Homer Whited. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the church and from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
