Model railroaders at weekend Heart Nut Fest

The 16th annual Columbus Area Railroad Club Train Show and Swap Meet for model train items will unfold Saturday and Sunday.

It’s part of the Heart Nut Festival on Schoolhouse Road near Edinburgh in Johnson County Park, adjacent to Camp Atterbury. Festival attractions include craft and food vendors, live music and an early American pioneer and Indian encampment.

Plus, the Indiana Live Steamers will be giving train rides at their home across from the festival area.

Train layouts will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The swap meet, with items available to buy outright, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday only.
