Patty Browning

Patty Anne Browning, 73, passed away at 11:09 p.m. September 6, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Green County, Indiana, to the late Harry Stewart and Virginia B. (Hubbell) Nast‐Stewart. On Nov. 26, 1960, she married Larry Browning Sr. in Lions, Indiana. He preceded her in death June 18, 2009.

Patty was a hard worker, spent her career as a cashier at Hook’s Drugstore and a cook for several restaurants such as Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut. She was known as a strong woman to her family. Patty would give the shirt off her back and last dime in her wallet to help her kids. She loved life and her family, especially her grandkids, great‐grandkids and extended family.

Patty enjoyed reading and listening to old vinyl records she collected.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Larry Sr.; son, Roger A. Browning; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving Patty are three sons, Larry L. (Judy) Browning Jr., of Columbus, John L. (Anita) Browning, of Taunton, Massachusetts, and Steven Browning, of New Castle; daughter, Jennie A. Smallwood, of Columbus; 16 grandchildren; 22 great‐grandchildren; sister‐in‐law, Sylvia Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
