The nonprofit Columbus Area Arts Council still has vacancies for its upcoming GlassMelt glass forming workshops in which participants will make glass pumpkin paperweights.
GlassMelt workshops will be conducted 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 and 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in front of The Commons, 300 Washington St. in Columbus.
The cost is $30 each and must be paid in advance by calling the arts council at 812-376-2539 or by visiting the arts council office in The Commons. Due to the popularity of this event, sales are limited to two per order.
Support for the glass forming workshops comes through a grant from the Carl Marshall and Mildred Almen Reeves Foundation.
