Faurecia exceeds local food bank fundraising goal
Faurecia employees in Columbus donated the equivalent of 64,984 meals to the Love Chapel food bank, exceeding their goal in the company’s FUELS effort.
The Columbus workers were among more than 20,000 Faurecia global employees participating in FUELS community food drive, which stands for Faurecia Unites with Employees for Local Service.
As part of the food drive, Faurecia facilities participate in friendly competition. Each site has a goal based on the previous year and in addition to local employee contributions, the company hosts a variety of fundraisers ranging from chili cookoffs to dunk tanks. Sites that reached their goals received an extra $1,000 for their food banks. The local employees exceeded 129 percent of their goal for donations to Love Chapel, company officials said.
Faurecia presented a check of more than $22,000 to the Love chapel food bank.
