Ray Rossman, 66, of Columbus, Indiana, died on December 2, 2016.

He was born July 26, 1950, to Harold and Marion (Nelson) Rossman, in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Ray was an engineer for the Louisville and Indiana Railroad for 21 years; however, he devoted his life to his family and adored his two granddaughters, Vivia and Madi. Often times, you would find Ray on the front porch spending quality time with Vivia or in the stands as Madi’s biggest fan at one of her sporting events. .

Ray is survived by daughters, Renae D. Rossman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Megan L. (Billy) Shepherd of Columbus; son, Russell R. Rossman of Columbus; brothers, Don (Sue) Rossman and Jim (Linda) Rossman, both of Kokomo, Indiana; a sister, Dorothy (Jerry) Fivecoate of Kokomo, Indiana; and grandchildren, Madison Grimes and Vivia Rossman.

A memorial calling will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Guests are encouraged to dress casually and wear jeans in honor of Ray’s favorite attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Ray Rossman Memorial Fund for his granddaughters’ education.
