Keenan Winters, born June 13, 1990, passed away in the early morning of December 29, 2016. He graduated from Columbus North High School in 2009 where he excelled in academics and wrestling. He went on to receive a degree in Technical Engineering from Purdue University in 2014.

All Keenan’s acquaintances knew of his genuine, sweet and happy spirit. He would keep you on your toes with his witty humor and was a loyal and loving friend to everyone around him.

Keenan was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for adventure. He spent his time fishing at Grandview Lake, hunting and hiking at their family’s ranch in North Fork, Idaho, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his parents, Mark (Rachel) Winters  and Rebecca (Cliff) Cummings; his sisters, Jamie (Karl) Evans, Kayla (Chris) Gordon and Leslie Winters; his maternal grandmother, Sharon Fisbeck, and paternal grandmother, Opal Winters; and his nieces and nephews, Addison, Jocylon, Landon and Colton Evans. He will also be missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Hank Winters and Bobby Jenkins.

Viewing hours will be held at Westside Community Church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd., Columbus, IN 47201, on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service will immediately follow at noon, with Pastor Dennis Aug officiating.

The family requests that any memorials be made out to the Columbus North Wrestling Team.
