Margo Hughey, a leader of Hoosiers Helping Our Troops, an organization that raised money to send fire-resistant gear to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, was selected as a Hometown Hero by Channel 6 in Indianapolis and was featured in a segment of Channel 6 news.

”Tanglefoot,” a sticky substance that made roosting uncomfortable for birds, was sprayed on trees in Parking Lot No. 6 on Jackson Street near the post office after downtown merchants and people who used the parking lot complained about bird droppings on parking meters and vehicles.
