Robert Eugene “Uncle Bobby” Amis, 72, of North Vernon, died at 12:18 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Alice J. Reynolds Amis; a son, Robert Amis Jr. of Hayden; a daughter, Tammy Giddens of North Vernon; a brother, Bill (Marge) Amis of North Vernon; a sister, Ida (Jim) Moody of Florida; and one grandson.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, with the Revs. Drew Dukes and Daryl Amis officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association or First Baptist Church.
