Deputies recover stolen vehicle, arrest driver

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and made an arrest. Deputy Dane Duke, assisted by Indiana State Police, saw a vehicle at the Red Roof Inn parking lot Saturday in Taylorsville that had been reported stolen in Columbus April 14, deputies said. When speaking to the occupants, Robert Scott, 34, Morgantown and Brandy Moore, 33, Bargersville, officers found a syringe and other narcotics paraphernalia. Scott, the driver, was arrested on charges of auto theft, legend drug injection devices and possession of paraphernalia. Moore, the passenger, was issued a criminal summons for possession of paraphernalia. The vehicle was returned to the registered owner.
