Police: Columbus woman arrested for dealing heroin

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a local woman as a habitual traffic violator and accused her of dealing in heroin.

Deputies saw Heather L. Walker, 35, 918 Lafayette Ave., driving a Mazda 626 passenger car in the area of Executive Drive near the Edinburgh Outlet Mall at 10:30 a.m. Monday, deputies said.

Walker was known by deputies to be a habitual traffic violator for life and they did a traffic stop and arrested her, deputies said.

Deputies found about 3.5 grams of suspected heroin on Walker and located several empty plastic bags as well as other drug-related paraphernalia, deputies said.
