Wilma Adair

Wilma Jean Adair, 81, of Edinburgh, passed away on June 4, 2017, at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. She was born in Jackson County on July 18, 1935. She was the daughter of Henry and Bertha E. (Cochran) Allman. She married Lloyd Leland Adair on Aug. 26, 1950. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2001.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Lloyd Adair Sr. of Edinburgh and Dallas Gene Adair of Edinburgh; a daughter, Jeana Lei (Roger) Weddle of Edinburgh; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Herbert (Bonnita) Allman of Columbus, Richard Allman of Edinburgh and Chester Allman of Edinburgh; and sisters, Lola (Ron) Anderson of Columbus and Donna (Joe) Henson of Edinburgh.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Ward Allman; and sisters, Mary Kathleen Allman, Charlotte Denson and Helen Streeval.

She was a member of the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, babysitting, loved attending her church and enjoyed helping people.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle by the Rev. Mark Myers. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
