Crusaders sweep Dugger Union

DUGGER — Columbus Christian improved to 3-0 with a 25-11, 25-13, 25-22 win at Dugger Union.

Mayah Schundelemeier led the Crusaders with five kills and seven aces. Sabrina Herron had nine assists and three digs, Savannah Herron added four kills and seven digs and Lauren Hunnicutt served seven aces.


Eagles compete in kickoff

TERRE HAUTE — Brown County had five boys and four girls compete in the Valley Cross Kickoff at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, site of the state finals. No team scores were kept.

Wyatt Wyman and Marino Dolph finished seventh and ninth in 16 minutes, 58.1 seconds and 17:16.5 for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) to lead the boys. Jackson McPheeters took 29th in 17:58.4, while Jordan Dolph was 101st (20:10.4) and Cameron Fox 159th (22:46.7).

Maris Wyman led the girls with a 54th-place finish in 24:26.8. Emma DeBord took 64th in 25:09.9, while Rowan Keen was 88th (26:53.0) and Angel Meece 113th (30:24.5).
