The following closings have been announced for Labor Day weekend.
- All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles branches are closed Saturday through Monday. Branches resume regularly scheduled business hours Tuesday. For more information, visit myBMV.com.
- Columbus City Hall will be closed on the Monday holiday.
- There will be no city trash/recycling/brush or compost collection Monday in Columbus. Collections will run one day behind residents’ regularly scheduled day with Friday’s collections being made Sept. 9. Toters need to be out by 7 a.m. on collection day.
- The Bartholomew County Courthouse is closed Monday.
- The Columbus City Utilities office is closed Monday and regular business hours resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Customers who have a problem with water or sewer services should call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- The Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District office and The Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center, 720 S. Mapleton St., will be closed Monday.
- The Bartholomew County Landfill at 811 E. County Road 450S will be closed Monday.
