Eula Mary Curtis

GREENSBURG

Eula Mary (Robbins) Curtis, 91, of Greensburg, passed away on August 30, 2017, at Morning Breeze. She was born on March 16, 1926, in Decatur County, Indiana, the daughter of George and Olive (Bate) Robbins.

Eula was a 1943 graduate of Burney High School. She married Noble Curtis on September 1, 1946. Together they had two children, Dan and Marcia.

Eula worked as a bank teller at Union Bank and Trust for 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg. She sang in the choir at church, was the Treasurer and Secretary, and also taught Sunday school. Eula loved birds, playing the organ, vacationing with family to the Smokey Mountains and helping her husband in the Curtis Orchard.

Survivors include: husband, Noble Curtis; son, Dan (Laura) Curtis; daughter, Marcia (Doug) Reed; brother, L. Ed Robbins; sisters, Luella Sanson and Arleen Whipple; grandchildren, Sara (Jay) Vanderbur and D. Andrew (Joell) Curtis; great-grandchildren, Anna Vanderbur, Laura Beth Vanderbur, Ayden Vanderbur, and Emma Grace Vanderbur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Earl Robbins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Saturday, September 2, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12:00. Rev. Jay Vanderbur will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Aerie Cemetery.
