Jacob Bryan Payne, 27, of Columbus, passed from this life Friday, September 8, 2017, at his home.
Jacob was born July 13, 1990, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Dolly Dee Green Tatman and Bryan J. Payne.
Jacob completed his high school education at McDowell Adult Education in Columbus. He was self employed and he enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, recording rap music and hanging with his friends.
Jacob is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dolly and Kerry Tatman of Columbus; his father and stepmother, Bryan and Raye Ann Payne of Daytona, Florida; his sister, Morgan Payne of Daytona, Florida; his brothers, Gaten Harper of Columbus and Josh Payne of Daytona, Florida; grandparents, Mike and Margaret Reinhardt of Columbus, Susie Boston of Columbus and Adaus Ray Green of Columbus; stepgrandparents, Clarence and Ann Vest of Daytona, Florida, and Marty Harper of Edinburgh; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Jacob was preceded in death by stepgrandparents, Betty Harper and Harley Tatman.
The funeral service celebrating Jacob’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until service time Friday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jacob Bryan Payne Memorial Fund through the funeral home or to Bartholomew County Humane Society.
