Two injured after head-on collision on State Road 46 near Hartsville

HARTSVILLE — Indiana 46 East near Hartsville was closed for about three hours Monday morning after a head-on collision involving three vehicles.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the 19000 block of State Road 46 East at 9:53 a.m. where two drivers were trapped in their vehicles, deputies said.

Michael A. Leszcysnki, 28, Columbus was entrapped in a Dodge Dakota pickup and August Kinker, 48, Greensburg, was trapped in a GMC Yukon, deputies said.

The third driver, Gregory P. Hart, 32, Greensburg, was not injured.

Leszcynski was transported by LifeLine helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and Kinker was taken by Stat-Flight to St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, deputies said.
