A local woman was arrested at a Columbus hotel after she was accused of causing a disturbance and later scratched a Columbus police officer and an emergency medical technician.
Columbus police were sent to the Days Inn at 3445 W. Jonathan Moore Pike about the woman who was accused of causing a disturbance in the hallway of the hotel, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
When officers arrived at 10 p.m. Monday, they found Sarah I. Boyd, 47, Columbus, shouting in the hallway and refusing to quiet down, Harris said. Boyd was arrested and became combative by scratching and kicking at an officer, and also was accused of spitting and scratching an EMT causing his arm to bleed, Harris said.
Boyd was arrested on charges of two counts of battery on a public safety official, public intoxication and disorderly conduct, Harris said.
