National Family Week activities planned

Several events are planned as part of National Family Week next month in Columbus.

A “Columbus Families Got Talent” event is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the gymnasium of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 5th St., for anyone wishing to share a talent they might have. Individuals who participate will receive a free pizza.

Four families will also be recognized at the church during an event from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in the church’s chapel Nov. 17 as part of National Family Week. The event is meant to provide recognition for families who work together, play together and have overcome obstacles and grief with grace and dignity, organizers said.

A free roller skating event is also planned from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 25 at Columbus Skateland, 2660 N. Talley Road. Those who attend are asked to rent or bring their own skates.
