Rosia A. Hance

Rosia A. Hance, 92, of Nashville, passed from this life at 2:25 am. Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Brown County Health & Living Community.

Rosia retired from National Linen Company after 25 years of service. She was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 12 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Don Asbury officiating.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. Hance was born May 31, 1925 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Herman and Ada Trobaugh Lancaster.

She married, Ralph E. Hance on December 24, 1945. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1999.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy (William) Chamberlin of Freetown; grandchildren, Shannon Willis of Freetown, Mark (Tina) Smith of Columbus and Brian Kimmet of Scipio; step-grandchildren, Todd (Darlene) Perry of Georgia, Kelly (Greg) Stockment of Monticello, Klint (Amy) Chamberlin of Monticello and Jim (Amanda) Thompson of Shelbyville; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene (Ken) Graham of Elizabethtown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Omas and Floyd Lancaster; and sisters, Opal Shatto, Elma Cross, Bertha Lancaster and Versie Wilson.
