GREENSBURG
Sharon L. Hooten, 79, passed away surrounded by loved ones at 12:37 a.m., October 27, 2017 at Heritage House in Greensburg.
Sharon was born December 23, 1937 in Decatur County, the daughter of Harry Albert and Jessie Mable Cores Hurst.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no services.
Survivors include her daughter, Gena Beaman of Columbus; sons, Loren Ja Hooten and Darryl Gene Hooten, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Jenifer Spires, Jesse Beaman, Jake Beaman, and Ethan Hooten; as well as great-grandchildren Gavin Hart and Gabi Secuskie. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Hurst; as well as a sister, Evelyn Freeman.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
