Columbus team competes in robotics competition

A robotics team composed of students from Columbus North and Columbus East high schools will compete Friday and Saturday at Purdue University.

The Columbus team, GalacTech, plans to compete during the Boiler Bot Battle event at the Purdue Armory, 812 Third St. in West Lafayette. The Columbus team is among 23 teams from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio that are registered to participate. The event is meant to give teams an opportunity to practice and prepare for the 2018 competition season.
