Panthers topple Eagles

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won seven matches by pin Tuesday in a 51-22 win against Brown County.

Teagan Johnson (106), Dathan Malone (113), Dalton Craig (138), Rusty Vaughn (145), Brooks Wathen (152), Zane Beineke (171), Paul Alba (182) all won by pin for the Panthers. Jake Coffman (220) won forfeit and Victor Manzanares (120) won by decision.

Justin Burns (160) and Matthew Duncan (285) won by pin for the Eagles. Bryce Denton (132) won by major decision, and Kenny Eason (126) and Levi Mullins (195) won by decision.

Lancers fall in 2 OTs

OLDENBURG — Oldenburg Academy needed two overtimes to get past Edinburgh 81-76.

The Lancers (3-4) put five players in double figures. Destiney Ramey led the way with 22, followed by Sidney Beier with 14, Taylor Tatlock with 12 and Trinity Tatlock and Haven Link with 10 apiece.

Stars upend Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County led Class 4A No. 6 Bedford North Lawrence 22-21 at halftime, but the Stars rallied for a 49-37 Hoosier Hills Conference win.

Callie Wilder led the Panthers (1-5, 0-1) with 14 points. Addyson Kent added nine points on three 3-pointers.
