Columbus Christian falls short
Martinsville Tabernacle Christian jumped out to a 38-8 lead after one quarter Tuesday night and went on to hand Columbus Christian a 98-58 loss.
Conner Emily led the Crusaders (4-5) with 20 points. Josh Jones added 17.
Levi Sallee, who missed all of last season with a traumatic brain injury resulting from a car accident, scored two points on a basket late in the game. He had also scored a basket in a win against Fortune Academy.
Austin tops Trinity Lutheran
SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran put up its season-high in points but dropped a 104-96 decision at Austin.
AJ Goecker led the Cougars (1-3) with 34 points. Trent Shoemaker added 17, while Jacob Rowe and Josh Rowe each scored 13 and Jack Marksberry had 10.

Columbus Christian outscored Martinsville Tabernacle Christian 30-24 in the second half but couldn’t overcome a 34-11 halftime deficit in a 58-41 loss.
Kayla Jones led the Crusaders (0-4) with 10 points and eight steals. Grace Lorimor and Ann Marie Gandy each added eight points and seven rebounds
Owls stave off Panthers
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County led by seven points entering the fourth quarter, but Seymour rallied for a 60-58 Hoosier Hills Conference win.
Madi Skinner led the Panthers (1-7, 0-3) with 17 points. Baylee Byford added 11 points, while Alexus Brown and Kylee Matern each had 10.
Brown County rolls to triumph
BLOOMFIELD — Brown County jumped out to a 31-6 halftime lead and went on to rout Eastern Greene 50-17.
Gracie Matlock led the Eagles (5-4) with 11 points.
Tigers upend South Decatur
GREENSBURG — Lawrenceburg jumped out to a 31-8 lead after one quarter and went on to hand South Decatur an 84-48 loss.
Annie Gant led the Cougars (1-9) with 15 points. Madison Owens added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Eagles fall to Braves
NASHVILLE — Brown County won only one match in a 56-6 loss to Indian Creek.
Bryce Denton won by pin at 132 pounds for the lone Eagles victory.
