For the second consecutive day, weather played havoc with area sporting events.
With the exception of Columbus North’s girls basketball game against Bloomington South, all contests involving area schools were postponed or canceled on Saturday.
The Morristown at Edinburgh girls basketball game has been rescheduled for Monday. The New Albany at Columbus East and Brownstown Central at Jennings County games will be Jan. 22.
The Southwestern (Shelby) at South Decatur boys basketball game has been rescheduled for Wednesday. The Milan at Hauser boys basketball game will now be Saturday, with a 1:30 p.m. varsity start. The Bedford North Lawrence at Jennings County boys basketball game will be Jan. 23.
The Cannelton at Columbus Christian girls-boys doubleheader also was postponed, with a makeup date not yet determined.
The Hoosier Hills Conference wrestling meet, that was originally scheduled for Saturday, was postponed to Friday. The date of the rescheduling has been changed to 6 p.m. Friday at Jeffersonville.
The Conference Indiana wrestling meet, which was supposed to be Saturday at Perry Meridian, has been moved to Friday at Southport. The Hoosier Hills Conference girls swimming meet that was to be hosted by East today has been moved to 6 p.m. Tuesday at East.
The Seymour at East boys basketball and Brown County at Trinity Lutheran girls basketball games scheduled for Saturday also were been postponed, with makeup dates not yet determined.
