A local organization focused on solar energy in Columbus plans a celebration event next week at the Columbus Area Visitors Center.
Members of the Columbus Community Solar Initiative plan to have a community solar celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the visitors center, 506 Fifth St.
Organizers plan to discuss results achieved over the 2016-17 year, while individuals who have made the transition to solar power will also be highlighted during the event, which will kick off the 2018-19 year.
