Nellie M. McQueary, 75, of Columbus, passed from this life at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Nellie retired from Cosco and was of the Baptist faith.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Edgar Keinath officiating. Family and friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to time of service Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Nellie was born November 23, 1942 in Brown County. She was the daughter of William and Stella Hatton Alvey.
Survivors include her sons, Chris McQueary of Columbus and Roger McQueary of Seymour; grandchildren, Collin McQueary, Kanin McQueary and Devin McQueary; and her sisters, Phyllis (Bill) Garard of Columbus and Nora (Rick) Sebastian of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ora Alvey, James Alvey, Sam Alvey, Ronald Alvey, Arthur Alvey, Paul Alvey and Billy Alvey, and her sisters, Annie Purdue and Corene Greathouse.
