COLUMBUS
Rodrigo “Ron” Cavazos, 54, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at his home.
Ron was born January 31, 1964 in Edinburg, Texas, to Jesus Manuel Cavazos and Grace Ferguson.
He graduated from Columbus North High School in 1982 and Vincennes University in 1984 with an
associate’s degree in applied science.
He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and served as board vice-president from 1986 until 1988.
Ron was employed by Cummins, United Parcel Service, LNP and Faurecia.
His hobbies included exercising, bike riding, running and fishing.
Ron is survived by his son, Nash Jackson of Columbus; mother, Grace Ferguson of Columbus; sister, Rebecca Gredy of Bloomington; and five nephews and two nieces.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, March 12, 2018, at Daugherty Cemetery with Pastor Patrick Galligher officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted by Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
