Ronnie Dean ‘Herk’ Hercamp

Mr. Ronnie Dean “Herk” Hercamp, 75, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at home.

He was born in Seymour on October 9, 1942, to the late Bill and Edna (Dietz) Hercamp.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, March 12 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brien Stout officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

On July 22, 1983, in Seymour, he married Jill Janine Tracey.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Eagles.

He retired from Cummins after over 40 years of service.

He liked watching college basketball, golf, NASCAR, and the History Channel. He enjoyed playing cards and bingo. He loved cooking and family gatherings.

He is survived by his children, Jeremiah “J.T.” (Tami) Sturgeon, Megan (Eric) Gresham, Patrick Hercamp, Ryan (Gretchen) Hercamp, Spencer Hercamp and fiance Adrienne and Missy (Tim) Robinson; grandchildren, Logan, Jake, Toby, Kaden, Averie and Miles Dean; great-grandchild, Kalen; brother, Bill Hercamp Jr.; and sister, Carol Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 23 years, Jill Tracey Hercamp.
