Driver and passenger arrested on drug-related charges after traffic stop

A driver and passenger were arrested on several drug-related charges after their vehicle was stopped at 16th and California streets.

Columbus Police Officer Skylar Berry stopped a vehicle for a minor violation at 11:20 p.m. Monday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Berry identified the driver as Nathan R. Limeberry, 30, Columbus, and the passenger as Nicholas Linney, 27, Columbus, Harris said. Berry confirmed that neither of the two men had a valid driver’s license to operate the vehicle, Harris said.

When searching the vehicle, officers found drug paraphernalia, a syringe, marijuana and methamphetamine inside the car, Harris said.

Limeberry was arrested on preliminary charges of:

  • Felony possession of a Legend Drug Injection Device
  • Felony possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Driving while suspended with a prior conviction.

Linney was arrested on preliminary charges of:

  • Felony possession of a Legend Drug Injection Device
  • Felony possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana
