HOLTON
Terri K. Barker, 56, of Holton, passed away at 8:38 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
She was born September 4, 1961, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Dean and Ida M. Syckma Jones.
Terri Barker has ended her journey in this life and has gone on to her next adventure.
From a candy stripe at 14 years old to a registered nurse at Columbus Regional Hospital, Terri made a career out of helping others.
She was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and dear friend.
Terri has touched numerous lives through her interests and hobbies.
Her sense of humor, fun nature, as well as her strength and perseverance are truly an inspiration.
Terri’s family and friends will continue on in their own journeys until we meet again.
Surviving are her husband of over 35 years, Charles; children, Richard (Shannon) Barker of Muncie, Kyle Barker, Sabra Barker, both of Evansville, Kendrick (Anna) Barker of Holton, Kira Barker, also of Evansville; grandchildren, Ayame and Atanos Barker; sister, Debbie (Lloyd) Smith of Holton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Cindy Miller, Sharon Gilliland and brother-in-law, Dennis Dresselhaus.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be announced at a future date.
