Motorcyclist injured in accident in county

A motorcyclist was injured in an accident near the intersection of County Road 450N and Talley Road.

The accident was reported at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies said a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Roy Wasson, 30, of Hope was traveling east on County Road 450N when a 2017 Dodge Journey driven by James Meil, 66, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, failed to yield and turned south into the motorcycle’s path.

Wasson collided with the vehicle on the passenger side and the Dodge Journey slid off the north side of the roadway, deputies said.

Meil and a passenger were uninjured, deputies said. Meil told investigators he did not see the motorcycle before the collision.
