Tip leads to arrests on Shady Lane

Three people were arrested after Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies received a tip about a suspicious vehicle in the area of West Shady Lane on the northwest side of Columbus.

Deputy Brandon Sellers saw the vehicle at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday and stopped it for a traffic violation, deputies said.

Occupants of the vehicle were identified as Sonja Dougherty, 31, of 162 N. Hughes St., Jessica Hynes, 32, of 622 Glendale Drive, Apartment 1, and Keith Wilder, 39, of 3860 Silkwood Drive.

Deputy Matt Bush arrived with K9 Diesel to assist and Diesel alerted to an odor of narcotics in the vehicle, deputies said.

Dougherty was arrested on preliminary charges of legend drug-injection device violation and maintaining a common nuisance. She was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $65,000 bond.

Hynes was arrested on preliminary charges of legend drug-injection device violation, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance. She was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $63,500 bond.

Wilder was arrested on a pending warrant and body attachment and was being held in the jail in lieu of $2,889 bond.
