The Columbus Area Railroad Club is hosting its free, annual open house/swap meet during the Heartnut Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Johnson County Park, 2949 E. North Road in Nineveh. Train layouts will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
One of the club’s most visible community involvements comes each year at the annual Festival of Lights Christmas Village at The Commons, where its often-antique model trains, complete with smoke, lights and more, usher children and children-at-heart into the past.
Other activities and offerings during the festival include radio-controlled planes, food and more.
